How to crochet a rose using iris threads. Knitted rose. Manufacturing of a volumetric product

Greetings! Look how luxurious roses can be crocheted! Rose petals are knitted separately and placed on the inner bud, petal by petal. For a long time I was looking for patterns and a video tutorial on knitting this rose. The fact is that they are posted on the blogs of Chinese craftswomen. I had to search through images on Google, even translate the word “Rose” into Chinese.

As a result, I knitted several roses and am sharing with you the description that I myself compiled during the knitting process.

Note dated September 24, 2015

I would like to show a rosette, which was created based on the diagrams and descriptions from this case, by craftswoman Lena-Lenochka from the Odnoklassniki social network. I liked it so much that I immediately asked permission to publish the photo in this article. What a beautiful name - “Autumn Kiss”, how skillfully the flower is knitted, so well photographed. And the leaves are so luxurious, bravo!

So, get an idea from Lena on how to achieve a beautiful leaf shape in such roses. For that, special thanks!

The story of my acquaintance with these roses

I first came across these roses in Odnoklassniki. I immediately wanted to knit such gorgeous roses, especially since the patterns were included. But I was happy early)) I had to experimentally select the yarn and hook. And most importantly, understand what each scheme is needed for.

Two similar schemes turned out to be especially incomprehensible. They make oval balls, apparently for the inner bud. We tried to insert one into the other (why two?). Then, we decided not to use one scheme at all, the second one would suffice.

Having tied the petals, we began to think about how to sew them. It won't work around the edges, because... they overlap one another. We decided to sew straight through the middle, grabbing the central bud.

We folded it up and admired it, it looks good. But, it would be necessary to add a sepal. We looked on the Internet to see how they look on live roses. It turns out that most often the leaves hang from the bud.

I figured that I needed to knit a small circle using the same pattern, and three leaves from it. I tried it and it worked! The rose has taken on a more finished look.

But doubts remained - are we doing everything right? Before sharing with others, I decided to look for more detailed information. Hieroglyphs are visible in the pictures with the rose. I translated the phrase “crocheted roses” into Chinese using an online translator. I inserted it into a search engine and... got a whole list of links. Most of them were unrelated, but in one place there were video tutorials on how to knit such roses.

Then, I searched through Google images and found these diagrams. If I understand correctly, they are posted in diaries, similar to our Russian Liveinternet (Liru).

Description of crochet roses

The first one I knitted was a pink rose - exactly according to the diagrams. Used for knitting:

  • pekhorka yarn “Successful” (220m/50g) and Belarusian bobbin yarn, in two threads (for the sepals);
  • hook No. 2

Designations:

P-loop
SP - connecting point,
RLS - single crochet,
SSN - art. double crochet,
PSSN - half double crochet,
2nd DC - knit 2 tbsp in one loop. with double crochets.

We start knitting with the inner oval bud ball. Cast on a chain of 6 VPs and close them into a ring.

1p: knit 6 stbn into a ring.
2p: in each sc on 2nd p dc (i.e. two half double crochets in one loop) = 12p. Finish SP in first stitch.
3p: VP, *StBN, 2PSN* repeat * * to the end = 18p.
4-9 rr: *3 P DC* repeat until the end of the row = 18 sts.

Fill the ball with holofiber.

10p: Close, shortening the knitting through one loop.

The base for the rose is ready, let's move on to the petals.

1 petal - the smallest. We knit 3 pieces.

Cast on a chain of 6 VPs.

1p: 6 S BN in the ring.
2p: in each loop 2 stbn = 12p.
3R: *With BN, 2nd SC* - repeat * * = 18p.
4p: *2C BN, 2nd SC*... = 24p.
5P: *3 SBN, 2nd SC*... = 30p.

The sixth row, the final one, is knitted differently, be careful.

6p: 4 C BN, 5 PRDC, 5 DC, double DC, double PRSN, 5 DC, 5 PRDC, 4 C BN = 32 p.

2 petals - larger (also three things).

Until the fifth row, knit in the same way as you knitted a small petal.
6p: *4 SBN, 2nd SBN* ... = 36p.
7p: *5 SBN, 2nd SBN* ... = 42p.

The petal ends with the eighth row. Please note that a narrowing will now appear at the tips of the petals.

8p (concluded): 3 S BN, 7 SSN, 6 SSN, two double StS, 2VP, two double SSN, 6 SSN, 7 SSN, 6 S BN.

Five large petals

The beginning of knitting is repeated, as in the previous petal, until the seventh row, i.e. up to 42 loops. Further this way:

8p: *6 St BN, 2nd SBN* ... = 48p.
9p: *7St BN, 2nd SC* - three times = 54p.

10r: 8 St BN, 38 PRSN, 8 RLS.
11p: 8 St BN, 19 doubled PS SN, 2VP, 19 doubled PS SN, 8 StBN.

Now that we've sorted out the petals, we can collect them and move on to the sepals. To put the flower together, we thread a needle and pick up the bud. We apply petals to it one by one and sew it together.

Cup with three leaves

We knit according to the same principle as petals. BUT, there are 4 loops in the chain, not six. We knit nine rows until the number of loops reaches 36. The cup is ready, then we knit three leaves one at a time.

We knit the sheets not in the round, but in ROTATING ROWS. Divide the number of loops by “3”. It turns out that for each leaf we cast on 12 stitches.

The first leaf is from the same place where you finished knitting the cup:

Then, tie two more leaves in the same way as the first and sew the sepal to the bud. A beautiful crocheted rose is ready!

But I have a white rose

You can get a little creative, knit them in different colors - now you won’t see any roses. Not only classic colors - red, pink, white, but blue, light blue, yellow, black, etc.

So, feel free to experiment to your heart's content! For those who find it difficult, I offer a paid detailed description of how to knit a small rose in two colors.

There are many things in the world that you can knit with your own hands. It just requires a little experience and patience. The work turns out to be interesting. You can knit not only clothes, but also accessories. One of the most popular additions to clothing is a rose. It is very easy to knit by yourself. If you decide to try your hand at such work, then the main thing is to prepare the material. A crochet rose decorates any look, and the knitting pattern will help you in your work.

This rose can be used not only as an addition to clothing. By attaching an elastic band, you get a hair decoration, it looks chic on a hat, and if you attach it to a sweater, it will turn out elegant.

Making a bright crocheted rose with patterns

Before you start working, you need to remember: the outcome depends on the chosen yarn, hook, knitting density and the length of the air chain.

Each craftswoman has her own knitting density and can end up with completely different flowers. The article will describe how to crochet a beautiful and lush rose.

The very first step is knitting a chain of air loops. The length for a voluminous flower is about twenty centimeters.

Second row knitting: two columns, one yarn over in one loop, which is divided by three air loops. Double columns need to be knitted through one loop along the air chain.

Third row: two columns and one yarn over, three chain stitches, two columns and one yarn over in each loop of the previous row.

Beginning of row: seven columns with one crochet in each loop of the previous chain row for six loops. Then knit seven columns with two yarn overs in each chain stitch of the previous row, until the very end of the row.

Cut the end of the thread and fasten it. We collect the flower from the side where the petals were with one crochet. Spiral wrap it and sew it.

Continue sewing this way until the very end, and if necessary, sew on the hair elastic as well. A beautiful flower pleases the eye.

Create a beautiful rose for a vase

You can make an interesting decoration for your room or give it to a loved one. Crocheting any flower, and especially roses, is an activity for persistent craftswomen who replenish their basket with new works.

You need to prepare yarn of any color. The size of the flower depends on the number of air loops. In our work we need sixty of them.

For further work, a diagram is attached:

After knitting all the steps, it turned out to be a spiral.

You can take matching threads or even a contrasting color and tie the edges. This will give the rose a more complete look.

Sew a spiral using threads step by step. The result is a flower bud.

You also need to tie a cup to the rose. The diagram will help with this:

You can add variety to the cup: make one petal small and the other larger.

Now tie the leaves. You can make both large and small (without knitting the last row).

A rose needs a stem. A straight stick will do. If you do not cut off the knots, you can attach leaves to them. Wrap the stick with green thread.

Having made the stem, we move on to attaching the cup. You need to put it a little on the stem itself so that the cup holds better, and sew it on. We also sew on the leaves.

We attach the bud to the cup and the gift is complete. You can make a bouquet of such roses and please someone. The flowers turn out very natural and natural.

Volumetric rose for beginners with description

You can create a rosette that is very elegant and sophisticated. Before starting work, you need to study the diagrams:

Using the first pattern, make three petals. We make the very first circle of loops tightly so that the hole is almost closed. Hide the starting thread, and make the one that remains long at the end. The rose will be attached to it.

Knit three petals according to the second pattern:

Knit four more petals according to pattern number four.

And according to the fifth scheme, you need to knit five petals.

The third scheme is created for the bud, to which all the petals will be attached. The beginning of the air loops (the ring itself) should be loose, so that you can then insert the stem. Fill the bud with padding polyester.

It's time to sew on the petals. Where there is a hole in the bud, it should be at the bottom. You need to sew in layers, based on the volume of the petals. You need to sew them in halves: half of the first petal, half of the second. Sew the remaining half of the first petal onto the second. Thus, sew on all three petals. It should look similar to the picture:

Hello, residents of the Country of Mothers!
Today I want to show you beautiful voluminous crocheted roses. And perhaps someone will want to knit such roses, and I will tell you how to do it. I would like to immediately apologize for the quality of some photos (I took them late at night, after putting the children to bed)
I saw these roses and just fell in love. Schemes from some Chinese site.
So, you will need:
-yarn, I also have PELICAN (Vita Cotton). Composition: 100% double mercerized cotton. Thread length 330 m. Skein weight 50 g. and COCO (Vita Cotton). Composition:100% mercerized cotton. Thread length 240 m. Skein weight 50 g.
-hook, I have number 1.7
-wire- thinner so that it bends well, and thick for the stem, it should not bend under the weight of the rose.
- florenta Green colour
- glue, I used Moment, universal gel
- padding polyester, a small amount of
- beads or half beads, for dew drops
- a vessel where your rose will live, I have a small glass vase and decorative stones.

Girls, at the request of the copyright holder, I deleted the diagrams. I leave only my photographs of petals. If desired, the diagrams can be found in the public domain on the Internet. Many people copied this post into liveinternet diaries.

We knit three small petals. Make the initial circle of air loops as small as possible so that the hole is almost invisible. We hide the starting thread and leave a longer thread at the end so that later we have something to sew the rose together with.

We knit the next larger petals in the amount of three pieces, according to the same principle.

Then 4 slightly larger petals.

And the largest petals are 5 pieces.

Then we knit a bud and sew the petals to it. Here the initial ring of air loops should be larger so that there remains a hole where we will then insert the wire stem. The bud needs to be stuffed tightly with padding poly.

Now we will sew the petals onto the bud. Remember that the hole for the stem should be at the bottom. We will sew it in layers, according to the number of petals of different sizes - that is, there will be four layers. You need to sew them on like this. First we sew half of the petal, then half of the second petal, then sew the second half of the first petal onto the second petal. And so on all three petals in a circle. It should look like this.

We sew the remaining petals using the same principle. Just try it on first, make sure the petals fit nicely. In the end it should look like this.

Now the stems and leaves. Cut the thin wire into pieces: two smaller and one larger. We knit leaves of a suitable shape. There are many diagrams of different leaves on the Internet, choose what you like, I won’t focus on it here. You need two more and four smaller leaves. We wrap the two smaller pieces of wire with floral tape. Then we begin to wrap the larger one and in the process we wrap the small stems crosswise several times to the large one, as in the photo.

Then glue the leaves to the stems. We take a thick wire for the main stem and also wrap it with floral tape, in the process wrapping a branch with leaves, according to the same principle - crosswise. I knitted the sepal without a pattern, a circle in single crochets, up to 30 loops, then each leaf separately - 6 loops at the base, in every third row we decrease 1 loop. Be sure to leave a hole in the middle for the stem. Then we put the sepal on the stem, thickly coat the tip of the stem with glue and stick it into the rose, trying to push it further away. We move the sepals to the rose and glue them.

Rose is a beautiful and beloved flower by all. It not only decorates the holidays, but also brings joy and pleasure to everyday life, making them unforgettable. But the life of this beautiful living plant is not so long-lasting. You can solve the problem by learning how to crochet roses according to the pattern. In addition, the appearance of the flower will fully correspond to the wishes of the artist. After all, using different knitting methods you can achieve original and unique effects.

Even beginners can crochet roses by mastering the basics and choosing the best method for themselves. There are many patterns and their descriptions that make crocheting a rose an easy task. You need to complete the elements of the flower and assemble the finished product from them.

Tools and materials needed for work:

Before starting work, you need to master knitting an air chain. Then - several types of loops: double crochet, double crochet and single crochet.

Ribbon flower

The easiest way to make a three-dimensional flower is from a knitted ribbon. After studying the diagram with a step-by-step description, crocheting a rose will be easy. Not only beginning craftswomen, but also junior schoolgirls will easily master this master class and cope with the task.

Knit a chain of air loops. Its length can be determined by an experienced person, based on the volume and size of the future flower, and the thickness of the threads. The second row is knitted with single crochets.

If you knit two stitches from each air loop, the ribbon will turn out to be spiral. This will make it easier to assemble the finished product and the flower will look neater.

You can knit according to this pattern: From even loops, knit one stitch, from odd loops - two single crochets. The finished tape will also tend to curl, making assembly very easy.

The flower petals themselves appear in the third row. These are small semicircles or arches that run continuously along the entire length of the knitted ribbon. To do this, 7 double crochets are knitted from each loop. Moreover, the first and last columns are made with one crochet, and the central five - with two crochets.

To make the rose look more voluminous and “deeper,” you can start the petals not from the third, but from the fourth or even fifth row. The finished openwork ribbon is rolled into a roll. They try to press the base of the petals and the bottom of the ribbon more tightly. Then they secure it firmly with thread and hide the knot.

Petal assembly method

A very interesting way that allows you to get a rose bud of the desired size. After all, individual petals can always be added to an already finished product, making it only better and more attractive.

You need to make a number of knitted petals, large and small. The pattern and description of a crocheted rose is the same for both small and large elements. It differs only in the number of rows and the height of the columns:

  • 1st row. Cast on 4 air loops and close a short chain.
  • 2nd row. Having made three lifting loops, knit 3 double crochets into each loop.
  • 3rd row. Two double crochets are inserted into each base loop.
  • 4th row. Making an "arch". From every second loop of the base, a chain of four air loops is assembled.
  • Carefully thread the end of the thread.

According to this scheme, from 8 to 20 petals of different sizes are made. From green threads, 5-6 smaller petals are knitted using the same pattern. These will be the sepals of the rose.

Collect petals starting with small ones, securing them with sewing threads. Fold them alternately, evenly and fan-wise. Having secured the leaves of the bud, apply green blanks at the bottom of the flower. Secure with matching threads.

Manufacturing of a volumetric product

To make a knitted product really look like a living plant, you need to make a stem and leaves. To do this, take a strong wire to hold the flower vertically. Cut to the required length.

One end is bent into a loop, and the free end is pulled through the center of the finished rose and the wire loop is secured deep in the bud.

The green thread from which the sepals were knitted is tied and secured on a wire. Wrap, pressing the yarn tightly. Knitted green leaves are secured by placing two rows of turns at the junction for strength.

You can separately strengthen the leaves onto thinner wire and also entwine them with green threads. Then attach them to the stem. This will give the rose on a slender stem gracefulness and sophistication. The position of the leaves can be changed as desired. A bouquet of such roses with well-spaced green leaves in a tall vase will look beautiful.

Secrets of needlewomen

And yet, for a crocheted rose to become the pride of a craftswoman, just studying the diagrams and describing the process is not enough. You need to carefully observe nature. She will tell you what techniques need to be used in needlework so that the flowers you make become truly attractive.

To get a flower that looks like a living rose, you need:

  • Know how to choose the right tone and color of threads. For example, smaller petals may have more subtle colors. And those located along the edge of the bud are larger in size and richer in color.
  • The edge of the petals can also be “painted” with other tones. Here, both dark and lighter tones, different from the main one, will look realistic.
  • Remember the thickness of the thread. The thicker the knitting yarn, the more voluminous and even loose the finished flower can turn out to be. And the thinner and silkier the thread, the more delicate and openwork it will be.

Crocheted roses can decorate not only the interior of a room. They will perfectly decorate the wardrobe of a little fashionista: hats and berets, coats and blouses, dresses and sundresses, handbags and hair ties will become individual and unique things. Once you master this technique, it will be impossible to give up crocheting roses.

Every person has knitted items: jackets, sweaters, scarves and others. In order to make clothes, you need to have threads and tools. Crochet hooks or knitting needles are used as knitting devices. When knitting sweaters, socks, and jackets, knitting needles are used. To decorate a product (crocheted rose, butterfly, snowflake) use a hook. The best way to learn how to decorate things is to start simple.

Instructions for working with a crochet hook

For beginners, it will be difficult to understand how to crochet a rose. With a step-by-step description, it’s easy enough to get the hang of it, but without the initial rules, the quality of the work will deteriorate. There are rules on how to crochet a rose. For beginners, it is necessary to learn the features of preparing for the manufacture of a product. These include the choice of material and the size of the fixture.

Preparing for knitting

For knitting there is no need for a flat surface, since the hook is used in weight. It is necessary to take into account several rules that will ease all the difficulties of work.

  1. Choice of material. Depending on the version of the product, either thin threads (floss) or thick ones (for knitting) are used. For thin threads, use a smaller hook, since a large hook will create large gaps.
  2. Hook thickness. Small devices are used in small products. Volumetric roses are made using a medium tool and threads for knitting sweaters.
  3. The yarn must be checked for color. Two identical skeins may differ in tone. When purchasing, the name of the company, quantity and color number are written on each ball. Such striking differences in the color scheme will significantly worsen the appearance of the product. If the item needs to be made monochromatic, then there should be no differences in color.

Types of loops

After considering the basic rules and before making the decor, it is necessary to study the types of loops. Several basic stitches are used for crocheting:

Thread the thread and pull it through the first loop. Another yarn over is threaded through the loop and thread made. There are two loops left on the hook, through which another thread is pulled.

The process of creating a flower

It is necessary to start work in a bright room, since due to lack of light the eyes quickly get tired. The process for a beginner takes from 1 to 2 hours. Before production, the ball is rewound so as not to interfere with the process.

Yarn is used in all sorts of colors, but pink is used as the basis. If the rose is made with floss, you need to take dark variations of colors. They will slightly hide imperfections, elongated threads and incorrect loops.

The hook is selected depending on the thickness of the thread. For beginners, a medium size is best to make knitting easier. For a decorative flower, make 40-50 initial loops. Volumetric flowers are made from the maximum number of fundamental loops.

Then the product is turned over and another loop is added. In each air loop you need to make a double crochet. Thus, the number of main loops there will be, the same number of double crochets there will be.

At first glance, the strip appears very dense, but there are small gaps between the columns. It is in them that the flower petals will be knitted.

Initially, make two simple loops, and then thread them through the gap and make a double crochet. Double crochet loops must be made five pieces in one gap.

Each new petal begins with two additional air loops. Knit to the end of the row. The crochet pattern for a rose depends on the type of product. The main emphasis is on the double crochet, since the product consists entirely of them.

The knitted posts end with a knot that will secure the end of the product. It is best to make two knots so that the knitting does not end up unraveling.

The finished structure is twisted clockwise. It turns out to be a small flower bud.

To secure the entire structure, it is necessary to fasten everything with threads. Sew the middle with regular threads of similar color.

Volumetric rose from floss

There are several types of threads, some are used for knitting various warm clothes, while others are used for jewelry and embroidery.

Floss is a type of thread that is used for cross stitch or small decorative embellishments. One thread includes 5 thin strips. For a more voluminous result, the thread is not divided into additional parts.

A small flower is made using another knitting technique. For it, air loops, double crochets and single crochets are used, as well as connecting loops. To create a masterpiece you will need floss and a hook. As in roses with wool yarn, 40 - 50 air loops are made to begin with. This is the basis of any product, which sets the main process.

For the second row you need to add 3 air loops. Count 6 loops from the hook and knit a single crochet. In the same loop, adding two more chain stitches, make a double crochet. Thus, you need to add 3 loops each time and knit through the third loop. And in the same double crochet.

In the spaces between the stitches, knit three double crochets.

To complete the product, the last rows are knitted with connecting loops.

You can find many master classes on crocheting roses online. The patterns and descriptions are completely different, with additional stitches, double crochets and single crochets.

Knitted roses look good as a decoration on a sweater or on a hairpin. They are added to bags and children's toys. Using a wooden stick, the bud is placed on the top, and the stick itself is tied with green threads.

Small sheets are attached to the stem, which can be embroidered on canvas or tied with thread. The flower looks great in a vase. An ideal option for decoration if there is no need for live plants.
